Q: What is the Armenian Students Association?

A: The Armenian Students Association is an organization that promotes the Armenian culture through educational, social, and cultural events on the Cal State University, Northridge campus.


Q: Who is the President this year?

A: Information about the President and all of our Executive Members can be found on the Executive Board tab at csun-asa.org. If you’d like to directly contact the CSUN ASA President, please email csunasa1976@gmail.com


Q: How much is it to join?

A: Currently, membership is $20 for a semester and $25 for the full academic year. Deadline for the fall semester is October 19, 2016.


Q: What do I get out of my membership?

A: Included with your membership are exclusive discounts to several of our events, including the annual Big Bear trip. Members also get the opportunity to select a committee to join, which includes the Cultural Festival and planning for Armenian Genocide Awareness Week. Only members are allowed to join our championship winning Flag Football, Basketball, and Soccer teams that participate in the All-ASA games. We also have a quiz bowl team that competes in the All-ASA quiz bowl every year.

Q: I have an idea for an event! I’m an individual/organization that would like to collaborate with you. How do I get started?

A: Please contact us through the “Contact Us” tab on csun-asa.org or contact us through our social media pages.


Q: When are your meetings?

A: Meetings vary every month and ARE NOT mandatory to attend by our members. Emails are sent out prior to every meeting and posted on our social media accounts.


Q: When is the annual Big Bear trip?

A: It usually takes place the weekend after finals in December. Information about the Big Bear trip will be sent out through email and posted on our social media accounts.


Q: I don’t have time to attend meetings but I would like to get involved.

A: Once again, meetings are NOT mandatory. However, we do have several committees that are included in your membership that you can join to plan several of our events throughout the year, including the Cultural Fair and Genocide Awareness Week.


Q: I’m a Graduate Student and/or graduated from CSUN, so there’s nothing in ASA for me. Why should I join?

A: We hold mixers and events for our Graduate students and Alumni, and everyone is welcome to join our mailing list!


Q: Where is the Oviatt Library? East Conference Center? The USU (University Student Union)?

A: Please see the map below! Oviatt Library is located in the center of the campus. The East Conference Center can be found in the University Student Union (USU) (in the red circle to the right of the map) near the Student Recreation Center (SRC) and G3 parking structure.
